How Ohmie works

Three minutes, three moves — that's the whole loop.

1
Home screen: the Circuits I path and the day's next lesson

Pick today's rep

A 3-minute lesson picks up right where you left off.

2
A live lesson question: Ohmie asks what moves through a metal wire when current flows

Solve, don't watch

Answer real questions and fix live circuits by hand.

3
A level-up celebration: Level 12, with the XP banked for good

Keep the streak

Earn XP, level up, and come back tomorrow.

This is not another video course

You don't watch electronics. You solve it.

Tap the break in the loop. Fix the fault. Watch the lamp light up — on a circuit that actually responds.

Projects: Circuit Lab free-build bench and the OhmieCAD PCB Lab — every bench is open

It starts at "what is electricity?" and ends at robot navigation.

Seven subjects, 500+ bite-size lessons. Same three minutes a day the whole way up.

  1. 01

    Electronics

Voltage, current, capacitors, op-amps — 82 lessons from your first spark to your own amplifier design.

  2. 02

    Digital Circuits

How Chips Speak: how electricity carries information at all — then logic gates you predict before they fire.

  3. 03

    Semiconductors

Inside the transistor: holes, doping, and the 1947 Bell Labs breakthrough — rebuilt bench by bench, by you.

  4. 04

    Embedded Systems

103 lessons where code meets copper: pins, analog reads, interrupts, and the sensors that feel the world.

  5. 05

    Programming

Python and C++ tracks — Arduino coding from your first Hello, World! to autonomous robots.

  6. 06

    PCB Design

From breadboard to board: lay out real PCBs in OhmieCAD, the built-in board editor.

  7. 07

    Robotics

IMUs, sensor fusion, and SLAM — how a robot figures out where it is.

No prerequisites. Start at 01 and keep going.

Questions, answered

Do I need any hardware or a breadboard?

No. Every circuit is simulated and playable right in the app — though builds are real enough to copy onto your desk.

Is it good for total beginners?

Yes. Ohmie starts at "What is electricity?" and builds up 3 minutes at a time.

How far does it actually go?

Further than most people expect. Five sections — Circuits I, Circuits II, Semiconductors, Microcontrollers, and Robotics — take you from Ohm's law to what's happening inside a transistor, then on to IMUs, sensor fusion, and SLAM. It's the same lesson format the whole way; the ideas just get bigger.

Can I just experiment without a lesson?

Yes — Circuit Lab is an open bench. Wire up whatever you want and watch it behave, with nothing to get right and no XP on the line.

What if I get stuck on a question?

Ask Ohmie. Tap into a chat right there on the question and Ohmie walks you through it step by step, as many times as you need — it's built into your subscription, and it's for ages 13 and up.

Can I design a real circuit board?

Yes — PCB Studio lets you draw a schematic, place the parts, route the copper, run the design checks, and spin the finished board in 3D. Same workflow as the desktop tools engineers actually use.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Yearly starts with a 7-day free trial — cancel before it ends and nothing is charged. Either plan can be cancelled any time from the App Store.
